Rockside Winery has been hosting vacations for our friends for 10 years. 2026 will be our fifth hosted trip. We have visited Portugal, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy on our trips. This time we are excited to visit the more eastern area of Europe.
We are sailing for the fourth time with AmaWaterways, one of the premier river cruise offerings. If you have been on ocean cruises, but never been on a river cruise, they are completely different experiences. As you cruise you see the landscape around you, and is it some of the most beautiful landscape in the world. The ships are small, usually less than 150 people on board. The crew is wonderful, the food is excellent, and the cabins more than just comfortable. Excursions are included in the price of the cruise, as is wine and beer with lunch and dinner. Oh, and champaign with breakfast! The passengers are always pleasant, there are very few if any children on the trip, and we have several friends who have cruised with us multiple times.
